This past summer the need arose for a new feeding station. Gary Carpenter of the WBC brought this to the attention of the WBC Board, and Melinda Cousins of Backyard Birder Seed & Supply generously donated a new pole and crook station as a replacement.
Backyard Birder is proud to support the WBC, CDR, and many other local programs in the Williamsburg community.
If you’re a local or visitor to Williamsburg, these birding hotspots are sure to be on your list to see the area’s birds. This list is courtesy of the Williamsburg Bird Club.
Have you noticed an increase in activity in your yard? We sure have. With snow in the forecast and temperatures dipping below freezing, the birds will keep you company and thank you for the nutritious seed & feed you supply from Backyard Birder.
What joy is found in the change of seasons! Although the shortest days of the year are here, there is much to love during this time, especially for the wild birds and birders alike!
Did you know Wild Turkeys are omnivores? They will eat grasses, seeds, fruit, lizards, snakes & more! From the treetops to the ground and across forests, fields and suburban yards, turkeys make use of every inch of habitat available.
Enjoy your Turkey day with this interesting read, and Happy Thanksgiving, Birders!
